!!! FRAUD WARNING !!!

                As a valued customer of Falcon Communications Solutions, we would like inform you of some recent activities in the area. There have been several instances of "Toll Fraud" in the D.C. Metro, Northern Virginia, and southern Maryland area. Criminals have been attacking telephone systems through their voice mail equipment and getting access to some customer’s phone lines to make international and long distance calls. At this time, they have been only attacking Toshiba voice mail systems.

             We at Falcon encourage you to thoroughly check your phone bill for unauthorized calling activity. Most of the illicit calls were placed to either locations in South/Central America or the continent of Africa. Other indicators of possible fraud may be noticing that your administrative box password has been changed without your knowledge or a sudden influx of messages left in your voice mail of callers hanging up without speaking.

            What follows is a list of best practices to avoid this type of fraud:

            1. Never leave personal or administrative box passwords set to their default.

            2. Change your password frequently.

            3. Never use your voice mailbox number as your password.

            4. Always check your phone bills for fraudulent activity.
